I sure could have used Phillips' weekend stats. I could have saved a couple of categories. He hurt his ankle this weekend, too, but still stole a base on Sunday, then had a monster day today. In the head to head league, I have Mike Lowell at second. He gets a full week against Yankee and Devil Ray pitching. In the 5x5 rotisserie league, I picked up Lopez from Seattle. That paid off today.

And now McCann, my catcher in the 5x5 league, hurt his ankle and could be out for awhile. I'm stuck with nothing from my catcher position this week as a result. I have to wait until next Monday to make a roster change at catcher. Too bad, because McCann has been solid this season.

Roberts is going to be out for a long time, it appears. In the meantime, I'll just have to keep juggling players at second. Lowell is probably not a long term solution. He can slump just like Sexson has been doing (until tonight, that is). One of my friends said Sexson has been getting cut in some of his leagues. Hard to believe.

Shef returns very soon. Yankee hitters are a prized commodity of sorts. On that team, it's easier to pick up numbers. Always someone to hit in, and always somebody to hit you in. Batting third in that lineup is especially valuable in FBB. Shef ain't done yet.

Hanley Ramirez made his triumphant return tonight. Gotta like that. I sure needed some stolen bases from him last weekend, though. One wasn't enough.
